Hi. I have a friend living in Belgium who loves classic British comedy, do I'm thinking buying him DVD boxset for Christmas. Can I buy any standard dvd from UK to give him & would it play on his dvd player, or does it hv to certain region to play on Belgium dvd players? Thanks.

Yes. Belgium is the same as the UK - Region 2
