this is the 21st century, an age of equality, and women don't have to act as men would like, or expect, them too any more.
I think its good that she is being herself and not pretending to be 'ladylike' for fear of being disliked.
if you don't thinnk she's funny that's fine (neither do I) but then she is not comedian.
I am not a fan at all, by the way, I just think its unfair that she is hated for not being more 'demure'
Octavious - Cliches become cliches for a reason.
Of course you are entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine, but as the general public dislike for Sara Cox is mostly down to this very reason, I think it would be strange to dicuss her without mentioning it.
As I said, the main reason people dislike her is for the whole ladette thing - most men, and many women, famously found this "movement" abhorrent, they didn't like women behaving 'unladylike'.
Although she is not as much like that now, the mud has stuck.

Immensely! Its her accent, or should I say her pronunciation, where she just drawls on and on, almost as if its an effort to her to make an effort to speak properly.
Let me make something absolutely clear: this is NOT a northern thing - I'm a Brummie, hardly the perfect accent, and happen to love a good northerr accent. Its the droll, lazy speech patterns she uses. Vernon Kay - same accent....great to listen to..he has some enthusiasm!
Its often joked that certain 'visually challenged' people on TV have the perfect face for radio....Sara Cox - perfect voice for Hades!
