Can't delete them. No proggie can. How do I go about this? Looks write protected and well hidden.

If the virus is in the _restore folder then yes it is protected - by windows (ME in your case). The only way that I know of to get rid of it is to turn off System Restore, reboot, turn System Restore back on and create a Restore Point.
Note: when you turn Restore off you will lose all your restore points (of which at least one is infected anyway) because windows will delete the entire folder.
You may want to scan again before turning Restore back on to ensure you have not got an infection that will be saved when you turn it back on.
