Class 2 is for a rigid lorry over seven and a half tonnes.
The current licence codes are group C for rigid lorries, and C+E for a lorry and trailer combination.
C1 is for lorries up to seven and a half tonnes, and used to be called Class 3
Class 2 is for a rigid lorry over seven and a half tonnes.
The current licence codes are group C for rigid lorries, and C+E for a lorry and trailer combination.

..., but class 2 meant you could drive a wagon and drag, which are usually longer than artics! As Hopkirk says, look at your licence to see what classes you have got. C is for any vehicle over 7.5T, +E means you can put a trailer on it (broadly speaking...there are small trailers you can use with a C only licence), so C+E now covers both artic and wagon and drag drivers.
