Shiznit seems to have missed the point that you require an SD card with the maps on it, rather than a blank one.
Each manufacturer has their own mapping system, so you can't use a card from another make of satnav.
A borrowed Garmin card should work in Mr S's satnav but you won't be able to copy the data to another card. The maps have copy protection software...

The only way to get a new SD card is to buy one for £33.99

do oyu have the maps on a cd? of so you can just copy them over to a new card.
if you borrow a card, you can copy the maps to a computer then over to your blank card.
but if you buy a new one just make sure it takes the same size card... though it will come with maps already.
you cannot just use any old maps though, they have to be the ones for your particular device... or if the same brand check they are compatible first
