Apparently I'm not alone in not being able to see the adverts link. Looking through the various posts, it seems the likeliest suspect is Norton. (I also look at the MediaGuardian site a lot - and I can't see the advertising-related stories there either.) My question is whether there's any simple way round this, short of switching Norton off altogether? Any of your tech people have any suggestions?

How much have you spent on all those Nortons and other software which prevents your PC from viruses and other things? How much money (time) have you spent on looking for solutions on all those strange problems like disappearing words 'adverts' from sites? Please calculate everything and you will see that you have already won the lotto file.

Save your money. Just open Norton Ad Blocking click on configure then advanced. Under Web Contents Options click Add Site. After www. type in theanswerbank.co.uk then click on the tab Ad Blocking. Highlight www.theanswerbank.co.uk and click on Add.
You now enter the site name again and click permit.
Ok all windows. This will allow you to continue running Norton Ad Blocking but will not interfere with Answerbank adverts etc.
