I once got some brass collar stiffeners with a shirt brochure, so put them on eBay for fun. Someone in London bought them for just over a tenner!

I once bought a huge over-mantle mirror for £5. I was the only person with a bid on it. It belonged to a footballer (when we went to pick it up, my OH recognised him).

It was a great buy.
Not ebay but I found a fairly decent computer chair thrown away by the rubbish tip, so took it home, hoovered it and sold it for 10€, shall keep on looking now.
