This reminded me of a true story. A former work colleague who had been responsible for the company's prchasing of stationery and general office supplies was promoted to be Group Purchasing Manager and his new team had to negotiate annual contracts with many of his suppliers. They were well trained in formally drawing up these contracts so that the wording would stand up to legal scrutiny should that be necessary. One of the annual contracts that he was given to sign was for the provision of items for all the ladies' cloakrooms. The Contract read, "Please supply - 12 gross Tampax Super. 12 gross Tampax Super Plus, 12 gross Kotex Maxi towels (etc, etc). Please note this order is for a twelve month period"
