The WORST Birthday Present!

Following on from my 'rubbish birthday present' q in family....I thought Id let you know that my partners socks and deoderant gift were well and truly trumped, by finding that our house had been burgled during the night, while we and our chidren (1&3) slept! This is even worse than my last birthday, when 2 cars crashed into my partners van, while he was to his way to work.

I don't dare think what will go wrong on my birthday this year!

that is so awful, we were burgled a week before one christmas and i confess to having a meltdown. The police said many people's homes had been broken
into, so not alone, which didn't cheer me one little bit. Hope your children are ok, everything truthfully doesn't matter.

they got a couple of laptops, digi camera, a 30yr old camera, ipod, my car/house keys and my favourite gloves... lappy had thousnds of photos on it, not all of them backed up. I don't really care about the stuff, but my little one's 1st birthday pics are irreplaceable.

We only moved in 2 months ago, I don't feel safe here right now.

awww em thats awful, at least I've got a couple of weeks to ge over this and nt let them spoil xmas too. Kids are fine thanks - littlest is totally obivious, but the big one seems quite excited by it all...once she'd checked none of her stuff had gone!

We were burgled once - me, husband and TWO staffordshire bull terriers slept through it! We only found out when we were woken up by a neighbour ringing the doorbell at 5.00am - he was worried because our front door was wide open and the car wasn't there! Horrible initial feeling, but at least it was only material things that we lost - and me, him and the pups were safe (and well rested!)
