i got a kindle today

my two boys clubbed together and got it for me,,the case as well and three years gaurantee,its part of my xmas.

i fancied one last year but they were all at the £150 mark,they have fair come down in price havent they.i used to love browsing among the books but unfortunately i cant do that anymore.

Baker's Dozen. I love books too but have run out of bookcases and walls to put them against. Being officially old and unable to pack a suitcase with enough books to last a week and then drag it onto stations, lift it onto the train and change platforms (no straight through trains) I think that I am entitled to my kindle which I saved for and bought for myself.

personally I am opposed to e-readers, working in a book shop an all. but recently our company has started selling the KOBO e-reader, which is far superior to the kindle in every way of course, and the same price, I have one at home that I am using for my own training to enable me to sell them more efficiently, it's the touch screen one and has an up to 30 day battery life and 2million books available for download. it also is not limited to one website and i can borrow e-books for free from the local library too.
But I still prefer a book.

Slinky Kate...Snap, I have just been for Endoscopy and Colonoscopy and have anemia. Don't dread the procedure, it's not as bad as people say. No more fry ups or ciggies but saving a fortune!
