Anyone hot on dreams? Scientific and any other explanations please. In my dream I was getting pushed along to some-place I`d rather not be. I woke up suddenly but felt the hands pushing me were really there, someone actually behind me in the room. It Wasn`t my wife as i was sleeping facing her.

Good article Jackthe hat! The sleep paralysis was something I experienced while trying to wake myself up. Scary!
You have something in your life to do with finance (Insurance, loan etc) that needs sorting but you are trying to avoid it.

Ooooooh, scarily accurate keyplus90. What more is there in this?
I have a worrying recurring dream. A succubus in the form of Julia Roberts comes to me in the night and we wrestle over points of theology.
I'm worried that these visits will stop.
Perhaps it was the hands of death clawing at you?
she's like Santa, sandyRoe, has to make millions of visits in a night, so it'll always be rather a rush.
Dreams (IMO) are the unconscious mind's way of unravelling our day to day struggles. I accepted long ago that the apparent nonsense and weirdnesses of my dreams are metaphorical 'symbols' of things in my life that I find confusing or difficult to deal with. You could start by comparing *feelings* you experienced during your dream to *feelings* surrounding difficulties/confusions you are currently experiencing. I would hazard a guess that you woke up experiencing feelings left over from your dream.
My dentist says I've got a smile like Julia Roberts - but I know he's lying. ;o))) Ding!!!
AP's right. Regardless of who was doing the pushing, do the feelings you had about the place you were being pushed to match your feelings about a place, or situation, in real life? Keyplus may well be on the right track.
It probably was something like sleep paralysis. I had it a few times years back.

@jno. It started with me leaving a house full of strangers and unknown people, walking across a field that is familiar in previous dreams that leads to a small village, the road signs that lead out of the village are places that I recognise in real life. As I leave the village I`m in a car, turning left at a cross road and seeing more recognisable village signs I`m suddenly in a double decker bus so I was able to see the top of houses etc. Even though I didn`t appear to be driving the bus I seem to be able to control where it went. That was until I came to a road that leads off to the right. I didnt want to go right and that was when the "pushing" started. I remember thinking "I don`t want to go here". I tried to stop but couldn`t, and felt fearful. Tried then to wake up but couldn`t move a muscle. When I finally woke it felt like whoever/whatever was pushing me was really there behind me.
