Online shopping for heavy stuff and things like books/DVDs and CDs the money saved gets used for the fun browsing for stocking fillers and extras
Use a lot of charity sites Cats protection and RSPB are good as is National trust

i get the impression the prices are often better online, because people price match so say amazon have to keep competitive to keep customers.
Also within seconds I can check the price, stock and delivery time for many items at once that would take ages on the high street walking round.
Only negatives are that you pay for delivery even on small items and you don't get to see the items up front in person so it might look different from the picture or get broken in the post. Of course the postal systems can also lead to delays.
