My friends husband had been struggling to eat for a while, says he felt full all the time and couldnt get much food down. After visit to doc and very quick hospital referral they have found he has stomach cancer, and the tumour is too big to operate on. They have started chemo and today he is having a feeding tube inserted as he is now malnourished. i dont want to ask her what they reckon his chances are as she is so upset but anybody have any ideas on this type of cancer?? TIA
i haven't any good news, but we did help our friend feel better with drinks containing manuka honey! its the honey from tea trees, and popular in aboriginal medicine! x
Did they say whether it was aggressive or non aggressive, our friend had the latter and is now fit and well 5 years later after chemo. Apparantly the aggressive is usually easier to treat because of the type of tumour, so she has done well.
