Hey...I have a Curcuma plant which apparantly likes sun and lots of water...I have looked after it as best as I can but it doesnt seem to be happy and the leaves that are remaining are turning brown...I am about to put it in the bin but feel slightly guilty and wondered if anyone knows if there is any hope for it....

Has it got enough humidity? Perhaps that's why it's going brown http://www.guide-to-h...s.com/siam-tulip.html
Note what it says in Boxtop's link - ''leaves die back naturally''. Keep it warm, don't let it dry out, (damp but not wet), no fertiliser, and next spring it'll come alive again.
