I know its a bit morbid, but an elderly relative died in Jan of this year leaving his entire estate to my great nephews i have no problems with this, but it was also added that they would "look after" my sister who cared for him during his last couple of years not wanting to upset the family she has not mentioned it to my nephew who is the executor but thinks she should have heard some thing by now.Where if possible can i check his estate.

But 'look after' is rather a meaningless phrase unless it was spelled out in more detail

I can see the problem. Surely "look after" means they have to be an ear when she has problems she wants to discuss, and a shoulder to cry on when needed. And should be given suggestions on how to solve any difficulties she might have. I'm unsure what your sister was expecting to hear. Hopefully they will help out if and when she is in need. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask whether the nephews think there ought to be something more material involved though.

i agree... i dont think your sister can expect to receive 24 hour care, or to receive a large sum or regular payments or to be given cash whenever she needs it....
they could argue it just means a gesture payment of a few hundred.
it is a very badly worded will... solicitors should know better not to allow this sort of ambiguity in these cases.
