Efficacy of medicinal creams
8 Answers
I have to use a cream for psoriasis and was wondering for how long does it remain effective once on the skin?
Is the efficacy short lived so that one could have a shower after half-an-hour knowing that it will have done its work and so can be washed away, or does it continue to have an effect for several hours?

Even a topical steroid will be absorbed at differing rates depending upon which steroid and to which part of the body it is applied.
Sorry.

I have been using Dovonex for psoriasis for a while now. It has cleared quite a few patches and has improved others. I usually apply it at night so has a chance to be absorbed into skin overnight. However, the pharmacies in my area can no longer get this cream, so am wondering what to use in place of. Any suggestions ????
