My neighbour has just had her broadband router package delivered which i will be installing but have only just realised that she doesn't have a disc drive in her netbook and the broadband has to be installed with a cd-rom. What the heck am i supposed to do? can an external drive be bought? she doesn't want to spend a fortune as it probably wouldn't be used again.
She might be able to go on line and download the software from the manufacturer of the router. Otherwise an external cd drive can be got quite easily from PC World.
yes a cheap external drive will do the job...£30 ish
maybe you can install from a laptop with a disc drive and then she can junp on the network from her netbook......when i take my 2nd laptop which is a netbook to my friends house it links up to his router and saves the keycode
