Yes, I live on spicy food.

Whats your fave?

Honestly, dunno if i could eat what he just did x
Yes, love it. My mum wasn't a very good cook and I was brought up on very bland food but when I got married he loved spicy food so gradually got used to it. Now, the spicier the better.

Same to u jan...whats your fave? X
I remember when I had my first curry. I was 18 and at collage. It was a prawn madras. I didn`t realise you are supposed to eat curry with rice so I ate it on it`s own. It was a revelation. The guy you saw eating a wing, was that a Buffalo Wing? They`re nice!
Definitely a really hot chilli with garlic bread. Although I worked my way up from a korma to a madras or a jalfrezi curry I still prefer a good chilli.
have you ever tried a "phall" Jan?
No bob, I've seen enough people eat it and sweat while eating. Husband tried it once and said there was no point as you couldn't taste anything else afterwards.

Its an american prog....was a sauce made of "911"sauce, ghost and habenero chillies....ouch!

Hottest thing ive probs had is a jalepeno ghost burger- habenero sauce, burger bun cheese and jalepenos...tastes lovely all together...made mistake of eating just a bit of bun and sauce OUCH haha.....

Love a good extra hot south indian garlic chili chicken tikka curry mmmmm x
That's what put me off trying it - folk saying you can't taste anything else because of the spices...
A friend of mine once got me to try some of this just as it is - I nearly passed out...... (I'd better not mention his restaurant... ;-)....

i've found my tastebuds have changed dramatically as i've got older. i'm now enjoying curries that my husband, who weaned me onto them, finds too hot! I also find that curries and chilli meals are great for my dodgy digestion;-)
MMMmm, I love spicey food! The hotter the better. If I have an Indian I always get a madras and like SJ, don't bother with the rice. Just dip the naan bread in. The more it makes you sniff, the better.
i like it but chilli really doesn;t like me so i have to be careful, i did have garlicky chilli prawns the other night, which was nice

man v food is awesome, i love that prog
It's difficult to find a tasty hot curry I think. Either they taste entirely of chilli or are just not hot enough. Phalls can be very good, but generally I can't find a good one. I prefer a good tindaloo.
Yes I like a good curry or chilli dish. Has unfortunate affects on my nose and eyes though. (Sometimes other things as well!)

But yes some dishes are simply there so folk can claim to be macho enough to eat them. Unfortunately there is variation too, for example a Madras at one restaurant may be very hoot, and yet mild at another. I've had a couple of vindaloos over the years but each time it was more a case of enduring it than enjoying it. Would not surprise me if the spice content has reduced over the years in order to make new "hottest curry" versions.

Caught that Man v Food programme once. A couple of days ago. Weird. What's the point of massive fat laden 'heart attack on a plate' portions, or chilli so hot you can hardly eat 5 bowlfuls ?
I am seriousy in touch with my bland side here - i can't manage anything hotter than HP sauce!!!
