Weird phonecall

Just got a phone call from 08009801639, when I picked it up, someone laughed manically and put the phone down. I have googled the number and it says it is from someone trying to sell subscriptions to the Times but that doesn't seem likely. Anyone else had trouble with this number? (We are registered its the TPS.)

I got strange phonecall tonight automated voice wishing me merry christmas and a happy new year from www.money something .com just put phone down. Anyone else had this..... 01610000000

Have you ever phoned one of these places like electric suplier .after you give the postcode this sub human voice give your house number and the worst prouncing of your place name you ever will hear .Is this a mechanically produced voice

it was a weird voice certainly not a person at other end of phone. I have never experienced one you refer to.
