My sister has got twin sons from a first relationship, in which the dad was never interested in them. She's now settled in another relationship and he has since adopted the twins, with the consent of the biological father. Now the biological father wants to see the twins. What are his rights?

None I don't think. Their adoptive father is now their father in the eyes of the law. He gave up his rights when he consented to their adoption.

I'm not sure - I' suggest your sister checks with a solicitor if she has an issue with him seeing them. Morally he is still their biological father, and so long as he's not intending to cause problems or interfere too much, i don't see that there is a reason for him to be stopped from seeing them. is there any reason your sister would want to stop the boys from seeing their dad?

Nina...you can't bring morals into it as if she's doing something wrong. If he was in anyway a decent father 1) wouldn't have happened...so 2) would never have been an option.

I agree with Ummmm, legally the aadoptive father is their father and the biological father has no 'rights' at all. Your sister may agree or not if she thinks it would be good for the twins .
