I think this is an indication of all that has happened to this country.

Clarkson is a professional buffon, who has a long and colourful record of saying such things. Its clear that many of those complaining never saw the interview but are jumping on the bandwagon.

If everyone who said something offensive was dismissed there wouldn't be many left in employment.

Do people sit at home just waiting to be "outraged" keyboards at the ready.

Everytime things like this happen I have visions of Kenny Everett's Angry of Mayfair character ranting at the world when they have so much to hide themselves.l

I'm sorry if I come across as a bed-wetting pervert or thatever the expression is that was so charmingly used by someone, but I think his comment was absolutely disgraceful. The fact that he said it to cause a reaction is no justification whatsoever. He's obviously an intelligent person, so why not use your intelligence to say something constructive or genuinely amusing?
On the other hand the reaction from the TV presenters was also a bit pathetic. They egged the creep on and they got more than they bargained for.

Come off it Sandy, I cant believe you took the comments seriously, it was a flippant comment to get a laugh. We Brits are supposed to be the Nation with a sense of humour, now maybe if he had been said it in Germany where they are supposed to have no sense of humour it could be looked at differently. I like Clarkson, I think he is refreshing in a society that is being choked by PC.. Long may he continue with his outlandish comments.
