overn door glass broken...

today the outer pane of glass on the zanussi oven has shattered... its all still in place and none has fallen out.

the inner piece is fine.

will this affect the ovens ability to cook and keep the heat?

or is the outer door glass more of a cosmetic thing and to stop you touching the inner piece that would burn you?

i continued cooking and it seeemd to be fine... (not sure how it happened as it was fine when i put the food it... maybe i shut the door to hard or something)

if this is a problem to the ovens cooking ability, any ideas where i can get a replacement piece?

If a new door is very expensive look at Free Cycle or local paper ads for second hand cookers and buy for door. You may be lucky.
