high street gift vouchers

hi, i was wondering if you can use these vouchers online, when you get to the checkout online if you could type in the number on the back of the voucher instead of paying by card

I think the answer to your question has to be 'No'. I've checked the Charity Gift Voucher site and can see no reference to this. See here:

Also, I doubt that the technology exists to facilitate accepting these vouchers online. When you order something using a debit card from, say, Argos, the Argos computer connects to your bank's computer to check that the card is valid and that you have sufficient funds. I don't think that there is any system in place for the Argos computer to connect with the High Street Vouchers computer to validate the transaction.
