Went and picked up my special delivery letter that I have been avoiding since Friday and it turned out to be a £30 Beefeater voucher (I had been panicking that it was something bad). However, it cost them £5.26 to send it, seems a bit steep to me.
Hi MM and AYG - I had to complain and got a letter saying they had tried to contact me by phone (they hadn't as I have a phone that records the numbers of who has phoned) and asking me to phone them, so I did. Had a long chat with the manager and he said he would send me a voucher, I just didn't expect it to be sent by special delivery or recorded mail.
I went out to a meal today and asked for incinerated beef steak. Lovely. If I saw any blood running from it I would not be able to eat it. The waitress said it would be tough - it wasn't.
Hi Star, I always ask for mine well done and used to say they could cut it to check (when I first started eating steak) but about a third of the one I complained about was so burnt I couldn't even cut it.
My daughter was telling me tonight...she sent her boyfriend a package from Ireland to Australia about 3 months ago. It cost 4 euro to send. He wasn't in to receive it so got the card through the door but forgot to pick it up. It arrived back in Ireland the other day as undelivered. Ireland to Oz and back again for 4 euros....
It was only 2 chocolate bars and 4 packets of crisps....lol
what, she's passing up the chance of Christmas day on the beach and the New Year fireworks on the harbour bridge? Sounds like she's having trouble cutting loose, ummmm.
My OH has just mailed a box of crisps to friends down under... they read on the Mail website about the Tesco Christmas lines - mince pie flavour crips, Norfolk turkey, Wensleydale and cranberry - and fancied them; so they'll shortly be receiving a box that rattles suspiciously (if nobody's sat on it, in which case it won't).
Her BF booked the tickets and he's been out there longer. She did change her mind and say she'd stay as she's met a few people now she's working...but then he went and gave notice on the place they were living. So she kinda had to go...
