Favourites in Firefox
9 Answers
I installed Firefox (8.1 I think) a few days ago and when it was intalling I am sure it said it was transferring over all my favourites from IE but I'm buggered if I can find them.
All I have is a very basic toolbar with a little orange dropdown box in the top left corner and bookmarks over to the right.
Can anyone tell me how to get my favourites on Firefox so I don't have to keep opening IE for them?

So I went into the Firefox help and searched on "Import Favorites" and the first thing that came up was "How to import favorites and other data from IE"
All software products have extensive help and a search in the help often finds the answer to things like this.

One way to get the help
If you RIGHT click on the grey area at the top (just to the right of the tabs) you get a small menu with "Menu Bar", "Navigation Toolbar" etc on it.
Select "Menu Bar" and a bar will appear near the top with File, Edit, View etc on it.
On the right hand side will be Help.
Click on Help then Firefox Help to get the Help page.

Another way to get help.
When you start the Firefox browser you may have a orange "square" in the top left with Firefox on it.
Select this orange field and a menu is displayed.
On the right of this menu is Help
"Hover" the mouse over the word Help and then from the menu select Help and you get the Firefox help page.
