Can't remember who it was but someone recently posted on here that this would be a waste of time and that she'd miss school etc.
IMHO she embodies the British spirit for adventure and exploration that we used to be so famous for. All good character building stuff, a fantastic achievement.

Good luck to her, it must have been a lot of fun (though reasonably safe fun). I wouldn't swear it's of much educational value, though. She wouldn't even have had the chance to learn 50 Eskimo words for snow as she was in the wrong hemisphere.
