Layered trifle
21 Answers
I want to make a large layered trifle for xmas and im racking my brain to think of what to layer it with.
The plan is....bottom layer of brandy soaked sponges with set jelly. Next layer would be angel delight. Then i'm not too sure....maybe some amoretto biscuits and then maybe a layer of mascapone (possibly sweetened) or thickly whipped cream.
The i'd start again but instead of using liquid jelly, i'd set it in a seperate bowl first then layer it up all mixed up and maybe pour some condensed milk over it.
Then a layer of custard then whipped cream for the top.
Need suggestions....going to get a large trifle bowl from Aldi later....i might however not bother with the trifle and keep goldfish in the bowl !!!! lol
Suggestions, hints and critisisms welcome

Make up whatever flavour jelly with as little boiling water as possible.Tip into a large bowl and whisk until thick and creamy, you will be surprised how it increases in size. Whisk in the jelly on low speed until combined. Yummy moussey layer will go beautifully on top of your jelly without it melting...I make it with raspberry jelly but equally good with any others. Enjoy!
