Did you ever wander into the topics in R&S or News and realize you were out of your depth? ........Even in CB I'm sometimes made to feel inferior by some.

As an inhabitant of R&S, I wouldn't like to think that I make anyone feel inferior, and I apologise now if I do. It's never intended. I love it when people from other sections come and join in the discussions. The more the merrier. However, I think you have to remember that it is a specialist subject that some of the regulars who post there have studied in depth - much as some of the regulars in the Science and Technology sections know their subjects in depth - and frankly some of them leave ME gobsmacked by their knowledge - and actually the cookery experts in Food & Drink have the same effect on me - ;o) - so whilst those who post in the more specialised sections of AB may appear supercilious know-alls, that isn't necessarily true. They just have a thorough knowledge of their particular subject. I know some appear to be 'up their own bottoms' - I think the same at times - but I'm sure most are happy to explain anything that anyone isn't familiar with. Well, I am, at least. :o)

I'm put off by R&S because I simply have no idea what is being said past the question title.

The few times I have tried to follow a thread the only answer I can ever come up with (I've never posted it though) is believe whatever you want.

I don't think I'd be much of a contributor to the debate.
