Limited Company owes me money but won't pay
5 Answers
We took a limited company to an employment tribunal and won. The total judgement is 30,000+ for 6 employees. The company tried to strike itself off at companies house without notifying anybody but we managed to get this stopped. the MD is using 2 other limited companies (the were all part of the same group) to continue trading but will not pay us our money from the limited company that we worked for. To do a winding up order would cost us all money and he would probably just go insolvency route then but after we had paid out!!! Does anybody else know of a way of forcing the company into insolvency without to much cost to ourselves. If they go insolvent we can at least get some of our money from the Government fund.

Regarding OEV's answer, you can go to the Redundancy Payments Office for recompense in more situations than straight redundancy - unpaid wages, notice pay and other 'contractual' payments that you have been denied are also covered.
However from the size of your award it looks that part of it is to do with civil damages for breach of contract (unfair dismissal) and these aren't covered by the RPO scheme.
