IMHO, adopting should be hard enough so only dedicated people apply, BUT then again red tape shouldn't prevent potential loving homes which have been vetted then getting matched with needy kids!

and i know that by the time stressful IVF fails to work, the age for many suitable adoptions has passed so people can miss out twice! x

D97 - I think for a second it was your intention. In an ideal world couples unable to conceive would adopt. The desire to have your own children would still be there for most people though. I don't think people understand the intense desire that some women feel.
