Why does FB on Internet Explorer keep hanging?

I run Facebook on Internet Explorer but it keeps getting stuck and eventually comes up with the message 'not responding' and I have to kill the program and re-start it, but it still has the same problem after a short time. Any ideas what causes this?

Try cleaning out all temp files/Temp Internet files.
Restart browser and try again.
Ensure debugging checked as this post ...

There is very little wrong with the current Flash version (11.1.102.55)
There was with the last couple of versions .. including betas)

There is absolutely no point in posting versions of IE down to last decimal place .. that's cranky. They are individual builds and modded versions .. people may have several. There is no way to individualize replies to these builds.
Most running IE8 will have 8.0.6*** version.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think it could be that my Adobe Flash needs updating. By the way, Meth, it's my personal computer, not a company one.

why dont you try another internet surfer? internet explorer is quite old and dated now. try google crome.

I'm personally quite happy with IE9 now - we took Chrome down, didn't like it at all.

i guess it works for some and not others, im the total opposite! haha
