one of the reasons for getting rid of the bendy buses was that people could hop in through the middle door without paying. But strangely, this feature is replicated in the new ones. They will go round corners in narrow London streets more easily; but the downside is they will carry fewer passengers and it will be harder for the disabled to find seats than on a one-level bus.
I used to love the old routemaster, spent many a trip home from school swinging out the end when turning a corner, can't see that bring allowed now, well, not that it was allowed then either.
