Right I am trying to download my computor because it has been running badly for a while now and it is getting me down. I have done it in the past but have tried it twice now in the last few month which has been useless. I think there is something I am doing very wrong so I will tell you what I have done. First I have saved all photos and any documents I need. Then turned it off When the it starts to opens I have pressed a red key that is at the top of my laptop. Lenovo 3000 c200. This then puts it in the Lenovo Home Factory setting. And then I click on the different things when they come up. When it has finished I reboot it and it starts going back to factory settings. BUT it never asks for Broadband, Phone numbers, passwords or anything it just knows what it is. The only thing it dosent remember is printer and all favourites. What am I doing wrong.? Many thanks

Try reposting this in Technology, you should get more and quicker answers in there. Make sure you tell them what operating system is on the PC (Windows XP/Vista/7 etc).

Though it sounds like you are restoring it back to an earlier time, rather than do a full factory restore.

Did you make the recovery media when you first got it? (you would have been prompted to).... if so now is the time to use them.... if not, and the computer still boots then look on the start menu for the utility to make the recovery media, make them and then recover using those.

Thankyou I have now moved it. But when I put it in I was on the Technology page.? So do not know what went wrong there. Unless it is this thing again.!
