I am thinking of changing my marshall MG 30 FX Guitar amp for the Fender Mustang II Amp and i wondered if anyone has tried one of these amps if so what they thought of it, My guitar is 1979 strat, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
^^ Pretty much what Ankou said - though I can't imagine anyone playing thrash on a Strat!
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that the MG 30 FX is a modelling amp. I know that the Mustang II is. As far as I'm concerned the absolute best of the small modelling amps are the Roland Cubes.
So while your in the shop, try one of those as well.
best way is to take your strat into a music shop and try it yourself.
decent music shops won't mind.
it also depends on your music style. the amp might be good for clean and blues tones, but if you play thrash metal then it probably aint for you. so i would say go and try it out.
Thanks ankou, it is bluesy music i play and the likes of the shadows, i was thinking of going to the local music shop to try it out, but before i did that i wanted to maybe get some feedback from guitarists who have used one of these amps
