Is the patron saint of the archdiocese of Tuam Jariath instead of Jarlath, or have I got the arrangement wrong? Or possibly Jacinth?

Not doing this crossword, but have looked looked up my Irish Brewers and it does indeed give Jariath as the spelling.

Thanks very much for this link.
Odd they should apologise when there is a valid alternative spelling.
It wouldn't be the first time something only listed in the Irish Brewers has come up in the Generalist. Anyone remember the sheegogue?
Slaney

I was thinking that as well. Didymus does like obscure Irish spelling.
I remember long timer ago the name of an Irish sword that produced 0 hits in every search engine I could find.
Can someone point me in the right direction for the second 'E' question. I don't want an answer, just and idea of what I'm looking for. I've not been able to spend as much time on this as I usually do with all the Christmas stuff going on.

You are looking for a word that has to do with summer(time). It is difficult to give clue for this one.
Ok, Thanks Howard that's a help. I'll run with that and see how I do. Jools
Thanks Howard - Found it straight away once I had a direction to look.
Glad to help, mine is now in the post.
