CANON PRINTER INK
13 Answers
Hi, My ink's running out and I can get the inks refilled at World of Cartridges .... They cost a bomb at Canon, but the refills(1 black and 1 coloured) cost £16.50... Anyone know about refills (are they worth it, how they compare to new ones, how long they last etc.etc.) Thanks in advance. John.

THey give you a code and stuff to do with your printer so that it doesn't confuise it. The only down side is that you lose the icon which shows how full your cartridges are- showing them as always empty. Plus it will tell you they have run out before they have, so make sure you ignore the message and keep going for as long as you can.

They have a good range. I bought for the same price as one set of Canon refills, a continuous reservoir system about a year ago. It is still pretty full but the black was getting low recently. One x 100ml black was £8 delivered It has filled the reservoir and I have lots in the bottle still.
Printing like mad for next to nothing!

I would suggest http://www.bestpricei...k/acatalog/Canon.html for your compatible cartridges. Admittedly I don't have a Canon printer but I do have an Epson Stylus Photo R300 and I've been getting my cartridges from Best Price Ink for over five years now and have absolutely no complaints. My printer takes six cartridges and it costs less than a quid per cartridge and in my opinion, they're just as good as Epson's own branded ones. I'm forever printing photos and I'm amazed by the amount of printouts I get from these cartridges. I can't promise they'll have the cartridges for your type of printer but they do stock Canon compatibles so it's worth checking out.
I would just try ebay. I am a late convert to ebay, having first used it only 2 years ago but it is now my first point of call for nearly everything I need. I bought 10 cartridges, 2 sets, for my HP C6280 about a year ago and it was a fraction of the price Tesco were selling them for. Don't even think about going to PC World, unless its 15.00 on a Sunday afternoon and you are desparate !
