Is train travel fast becoming the rich-man's mode of transport?

It is a certainty that OAPs cannot afford to travel via train, which after all is the best form of transport for them.

Having said that I see that the Queen is taking the train to Balmoral.

apart from the Great Train Robbery you mean...
I find train journeys laborious and expensive, lugging your cases is no fun, add in taking the children on a train, so would prefer to drive.

When I said "I can never remember any infamous crimes committed 'on' trains," I automatically assumed everyone would have realised I meant crimes committed on passengers 'inside' carriages, on trains.
Return, Newark to Kings Cross with railcard, £27 for me and the OH. Couldn't do that trip with parking for probably double that amount.
