During this time, if the infringement was detected by an automatic device (that is, if you were not stopped by the police at the time) the Chief Constable's office will have to send a notice to the registered keeper of the vehicle. This requires the keeper to provide details of the driver at the time of the alleged offence.
If the registered keeper fails to provide these details he can be convicted of an offence (which also carries three penalty points).
On a more general note, why don't you try driving within the speed limits instead of investing in and relying upon technology aimed at avoiding prosecution? It will come as a culture shock at first but you will find that your driving life becomes that bit less stressful. The time you save by speeding is also surprisingly small. You have to travel 100 miles before you save 15 minutes travelling at 85mph instead of 70mph. It really just is not worth it.
