7,10,12,13,14,15,16,17
I have tried to find a mathematical sequence but have failed. Looking at alternate terms there is a known sequence 7, 12, 14 , 16, for which the next term is 21

But I can't find a pattern for the other terms: 10 ,13, 15, 17 , the closest being the 'hypotenuse' sequence 5, 10 ,13,15, 17,

It would only work if your sequence had an extra 5 at the beginning

I did notice that the sum of the primes in your sequence alternate: prime, non-prime, prime, non-prime, prime, non-prime, prime, non-prime, ... but that isn't enough to tell us the next two terms.

I doubt the quiz is looking for a complex maths sequence-. I tried converting them to Roman numerals and letters of the alphabet but drew a blank.
For 25,21,25,24,26,20... I thought about the number of midweek days in January, February, March etc but the figure for June messed it up

When I get the correct answer I will let you know - I am baffled too.
I made a slight typo
When I typed "I did notice that the sum of the primes ...." I meant to say to say "....the sum of the DIGITS for each term"

The next few questions are from the same quiz - no one has been able to answer coppys question (about 5 below) relating to 1926 and 1956/ Give yourself a gold star and cdm for solving that question. Well done

The wording of the outstanding question that I hope you are referring to is as follows:-
Which 2 numbers come next in the sequence 7,10,12,13,14,15,16,17?.
I rthink methyl was asking for the exact wording for the 1926/1956 question (which was 1926/1958 on another thread)
"What might be named after someone born in 1926 or someone born in 1958 depending on which "
methyl's Base 8 answer looks good- are you sure there isn't an 11 missing?

Slide 10 from the following matches it perfectly, but it's just a coincidence, I'm sure:

I found this sequence which is the same but there is a 3,5 at the start

hi
in answer to the question regarding the dates... it definately is 1926 and 1958 not 1956. hope this clears this up and someone can figure it out.
thanks
