Last week I received a letter from Vauxhall about a recall for the brake pedal bearings that may crack under extreme pressure. The car is booked in 1 PM tomorrow. Does anyone know how long this will take as it is most inconvenient. The main dealer said "We will ring you when it's ready"

Oops.

Crickey, those threads are from early September, i only got the letter last week. What if something drastic had happened?
:D
Apparently it's the biggest recall of the century to date..

I have no idea micmak but they should offer you a courtesy car. I got one when my Astra was recalled. I got it from a joint BMW/Mitsubishi/Opel/Kia dealer so I was wondering what my courtesy car would be. An Evo? M5 perhaps? No. A sodding Picanto!
:D is an emoticon representing a big grin, Micmak (referring, presumably, to the Count's acknowledgement of his voila/viola typo).

Oh! No it wasn't for you micmak, it was a reply to Count-A-Strong. Sorry. :(
Question Author
Didn't know that Doug. Thanks. I hope the brakes don't fail on the way to the dealer.
Question Author
Spikey, was your Astra recalled for the same reason?
