it's the one time of the year to push the boat out, regardless of who is or isn't coming to dinner.

the kebab and curry houses are open near me :)

my newsagent is open christmas day, shame there is no papers
Our local Indian is open too. So that's Christmas Eve supper sorted.

they don't deliver at dinner time near me or i might be tempted for chicken madras for my christmas dinner :)
DF, many people work on christmas day, so places will be open,
ASDA at 1:00am was bliss! No crowds , loads of fresh stock and customers wishing each other Merry Christmas! It's been part of our routine at this time of the year for ages.

em10 worked shifts for 28 years, have worked christmas and new year

one year we had a nitrator on the ground floor with cans of beer floating round inside and men trying to fish them out to stop it blowing up
We are not having guests this Xmas.............we are having beef boom boom !!
DF, me too, now i don't, and that is how it's going to stay.

we had some fun years ago, one bloke fell in the canal about 1 am trying to get back in work after leaving the pub
I've got Waitrose coming this afternoon. I booked my slot as soon as they were available but had no idea at that time what I wanted. So I ordered a dozen bottles of vodka just to hold the place and then amended the order on Wednesday to what I need. Just hope they've got everything I ordered.
No were having Turkey Guests don't taste so good.
should have seen Sainsbury's here - an utter zoo not helped by some daft female driver.

I went up on the roof to the back of the car park, a Saab driver came out and indicated to me he was pulling out so I waited. This Peugeot estate then pulls up and he neatly blocked her as I pulled in. She of course starts ranting in foul language (with kids aboard) that she was there first - (only 45 seconds lte madam).

"Have a Miserable Christmas, Madam and Bog Off."
We went to Sainsburys' yesterday for the big shop and it was quite quiet (about 15:30 hrs)

I did suggest to Mrs A that we go to ASDA (Hyson Green branch) instead but her face turned white and her eye started twitching.

Personally, I don't care where we go... as long as I get my cider and beer!
How did you get on Ladybirder................I had 8 substitutions in my Waitrose delivery, 2 of which were bloody useless. I did however get a far superior Xmas cake for £5 less.
Just had my Tesco delivery and I had 4 substitutions, all of which were better than I had ordered. Got enough honeyed parsnips to feed an army! No chestnuts though but I can live without them as got all the alcohol including an upgraded bottle of whisky for the same price as ordered so I'm happy.
Don't know craft, not delivered yet. Due between 2 and 4pm. I've stipulated 'no substitutes' except where I specifically say. The trouble is with doing that though I could end up with nothing. The one thing I'm really bothered about is some Green & Black miniatures they had on offer. I'll go potty if they don't have any left as I wanted them for stocking fillers.
Actually you've got me worried now ...........
Sorry about your lousy subs. It's pants isn't it!
