Can any of the wise and wonderful visitors to this site recommend a discount/budget/cheap hotel or hostel in Paris?

Cant reccommend one exactly but if you try www.laterooms.com about a month before you go, they have some excellent cheep deals for budget travellers (I used it for a B+B in Rome and it was excellent)

I've stayed in the hotel above the cafe, which is right next door to the Maison de la Mairie, in Port de Saint Ouen. It is right outside the Metro stop, which takes roughly 10 mins into the city centre. Last time I stayed there, about 3 years ago, it was roughly �15 for a three bed room.
