With a number of potential witnesses, CCTV in a lot of places round there and the police local knowlege, I think they know exactly who it was (local news stand headlines have said as much), it's proving it and getting someone to speak up. It's been a problem for many local crimes where locals know full well who did it but no-one will assist the police in order to get a conviction.

/// "Greater Manchester Police is also working very hard to bring the family over to Manchester as soon as possible.///
//// "For reasons beyond the family's control, it is unlikely they will be able to do so until early next week so the force is putting plans in place to send officers to India to offer support." ///
One must sympathise with the victim's family, but offering £50,00 reward to catch the killer, and now sending police officers over to India to offer support.
Isn't this all getting rather out of hand?
