mostly based in and around aberdeen in the uk, try www.rig-access.com . also, there is great demand for offshore inspectors at the mo, head to www.talonndt.co.uk to find out about taking courses. i would recommend rope access and magnetic particle inspection courses to start with. that will cost around 1100 but only takes 2 weeks to do both. i know a company called servtech are looking for eddy current inspectors you can do that at talon too. can expect to earn at least 15/hour doing this kind of stuff. phone talon (number is on website) and ask to speak to ian. he is very helpful, really nice guy. also the army may pay for your courses (i know a guy who did) best of luck.
