It's not just his music. It's that pseudo-intellectual image he tries to portray with lyrics that westlife would turn their noses up at.

"You're bhhhehhhhhahhhhhuhhhhtifuhhhhhhl" Makes me want to regurgitate. Sounds like a pathetic soppy wimp. What does he mean "I'll never be with you"....Why not? What a cynic. And it sounds to me like he doesn't even know the person he is singing about.

no discernable talent as far as i can see. he's not a very good singer or songwriter and every song sounds exactly the same.

and on a pedantic note, beautiful doesn't make any sense - at the start he's singing about seeing the girl on the train with another man, but it doesn't matter because he's got a plan... then in the chorus he's moanig because he doesn't know what to do - what happened to his great plan?

unless the plan was to dupe the british public into buying his album, so he can make a pile of cash and spend his mornings singing for that awful fiona woman on gmtv - i'm sure he's on there at least once a week!

I've managed to avoid his new one so far - I don't listen to much radio, but I couldn't avoid his last monstrosity. "Yah Byoodifahl" - ahh, shaddap.

The new one really is hideous though. I didn't think he could get any more insipid.

You're right, his new one's utter pants. But at least it doesn't start with the line 'my life is brilliant!'. I wept with joy for him when I heard that as I opened my gas bill.

james blunt is an avid supporter of vivisection and lists it as one of his best hobbies. now, that would make me think "what a cool guy" but his songs are an affront to my ears. i would sacrifice the 24 years of hearing i have until recently thoroughly enjoyed, in a trade never to have heard his bile inducing, warbling nonsense. shamelessly overplayed- the foulest of noise pollutions. i vote that we go round his house and administer a sound kicking to his larynx so maybe our kids will grow up with smiles on their faces and joy in their souls
