Pizza toppings

I like ham and mushroom on my pizza but nearly all the supermarkets around here have stopped doing them. If I buy a cheese and tomato one, what should I do to sort the mushrooms out so they don't just put mushroom juice all over my pizza? Thanks.

You'd think he could have picked it up on the way!! lol
That was a bit like going to the sainsburys cafe and being told they had no macaroni cheese left - even though they had a shop full of the stuff. Apparently they aren't allowed to take it from the store.

No problem! I always just buy the Margerita (sp?) pizzas & top them myself. I love mushrooms, too, so I just slice them on the pizza. They don't ooze juice so don't worry. What's nice as well are a few artichoke hearts, some chilli peppers, some chopped sweet pepper, onions, .....oooh, I'm getting hungry!!! K x (p.s. Dr Oetker pizza funghi is nice - from most supermarkets, in the freezer cabinet!)
we make our own super deep base using quick yeast and fill up an entire shelf of the oven with our tray! then everything in the cupboards gets chucked on it! you have to try it - it's the best. paste can be made using tomato puree, balsamic vinegar and mixed herbs. can be really fun with the kids too (if you're game!). when cooked, just eat as much as you can until everyone's feeling stuffed and burping. lovely! x
Supermarket delieveries come from depots so they don't actually collect direct from the store, big or otherwise. I found this out from the delivery guy who brings me my Tesco delivery.
I tend to make my own these days using tortilla wraps as I don't like deep bases. I buy Napolina tomato and herb topping and top the wraps with, peppers, mushrooms, ham, mozzarella, grated chedder, tomatoes and a sprinkling of mild tabasco. Ends up a crispy round the edges but I don't mind that.
