MM Links Results January 2012 Week 1
13 Answers
As we enter the sixth year of this MM Links Game, it is great to see everyone back as keen as ever to pit their wits against the monthly setter.
This month's setter is 'The Court Jester' (aka kettledrum) and she threatened to tease you with her choice of links. Was she successful? We'll see in a moment.
I can now reveal that her first set of chosen links were:
PRESENT COMPANY
BOOK WORM
MONEYBAGS
CLOTHES BRUSH
Were you bamboozled? Many were.
I certainly was, as evidenced by my brain not having clicked over to 2012 - Well spotted X-ray.

No best answer has yet been selected by gen2. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.

Nevertheless, three were discovered within the first three minutes of play for two points each:
BOOK WORM by beejay1124 (player #7) - three later picked up a single point.
MONEYBAGS by lysander (player #9) - two later picked up a single point.
PRESENT COMPANY by centrino (player #10) - six later picked up a single point.
The final link of CLOTHES BRUSH went undiscovered for nearly an hour and a half until Euphemia came along wearing a dark suit. Nobody else felt the need for a clothes brush all weekend.
With no double-hitters this weekend, I have selected this late discovery for the hotshot award.

You have probably realised that this has been a low scoring game with just 19 points scored. How different it would have been had 'The Court Jester' opted for the more popular 'clothes horse' suggested by 30 of you!
All that remains is to list the point-scorers
2 beejay1124
2 centrino
2 Euphemia
2 lysander
1 albaqwerty (Mr)
1 albaqwerty (Mrs)
1 ChrisHewat (SHAZZA)
1 Elspeth
1 joto
1 ladyalex
1 paulineward
1 seekeerz
1 sibton
1 teacher1
1 x-ray
Until next weekend then,
Happy Linking,
gen2
