Will my multi-region DVD player work in the USA? I have a power adaptor so I guess it will power up OK. But are the scart sockets the same there? Anyone know if it will work?

Cheers!!

Unfortunately there is no such thing as a SCART scoket in the USA, its a European standard only. If your DVD player has a S-Video output you could use that instead. You will also need a converter for the power 240 to 120 volts and lastly the tv system is different out there NTSC against PAL and a lot of US TV's will not accept a PAL output.
Best thing to do is just buy a new multi-region player of Amazon US when your out there - they do sell them in the USA but they are rare as the concept that another country may have programs they want to watch is pretty much alien to most of the citizens.
