Not always that bad,,,, maybe the worry of having someone in the house who doesn't sleep, hasn't been able to get a job is getting to them... Mums worry about stuff like that...
Menopause doesn't always mean mood swings...are you sure there is nothing else worrying her,
I too would'nt be too quick to just put it down to the menopause there may be other reasons as to why this person might be feeling anxious and becoming upset. Maybe you could talk to her about how she is feeling in general. She might have worries and pressures that you don't know about.
I am going through the menopause now (43 years old), it hasn't made me do crazy things at all. It is a pretty miserable time with the hot flushes and night sweats though. I do tend to get a little irritable occasionally but am an expert at biting my tongue after years and years of PMT.
Maybe try being sympathetic (as well as hiding) as it will happen to you one day too you know ;)
My not sleeping dosent bother her a jot-see earlier good morning thread when i was woken up to do her zip despite 30+hrs of sleeplessness!! Sleeping is a crime in here...
Also. Job...ivs just finished uni and not registered yet so its not a worry as yet....mabye in a month or two it will be!
I find it hard to sympathise as shes so off the handle anyhow.
The dinner got abandoned last night....cos i blew on my lasagne. That was enough for her to abandon her dinner...and go to bed for 10mins.
Huh. I thought it was bad enough ....its actually scaring me what lies ahead! X
I hit the menopause at 48, no change apart from hot flushes which could be embarrassing..............the first MIL was absolute hell ( bad tempered) when she was going through it, years later she apologised but said she couldn't help herself.
