Help please. Shut the desk top computer down last night as usual. This morning, it won't start up. Cooling fans come on. Screen blank. It's as if it is in hibernation. Any suggestions

i just press restart and it comes on. will have to delve into the workings if it keeps on doing this
Pull the power lead for a few minutes and try again (after plugging it back in obviously)

Tried disconnecting at the mains for 5 mins but no luck. I have unpluggrd it again now and will leave for an hour.
I have pressed the main start button on thr front of thr stack. Green and red lights come on, then the red light goes of almost immediately. The screen shows 'Pwer save" mode message then goes blank.

Thanks to you both for your time and advice.
check your graphics card is pushed fully in the slot and if it has a power lead check that too if fully secure, sometimes if your comps had a knock these can come loose
